How long to receive REF after message change... ?

Hi All,

How long does it take to receive the REF from VSC after message changed ? I know lot of us are getting REFs from VSC. As per automated system they had mailed REF for my case and cases of my dependents on Aug 12,2000. I talked to VSC and she said yes that ref had been mailed on Aug 12,2000. But my lawyer had not yet received them yet. I am getting worried. Please reply. When talked to IIO at VSC she could not tell what is ref about. Is it normal for IIO not to know what REF wants ?

Can the change in company name leads to the REF ? My company changed its name for ABC to XYZ, but every thing remained the same.

Gurus please answer.

Hello DG, Aug\' 12th was a Saturday. I don\'t think INS
work on Saturdays. How could they have mailed it on 12th?

I double checked it moment before on VSC automated system. Yes it says Aug 12,2000. I don\'t know. But it looks like they have mailed this on Aug 12,2000 and that happens to be Saturday.

Hope this clear the doubt.

Did your lawyer noted post office stamp date on the envelop having REFs ?

Is it becaue INS sent it 10-12 days after the message changed ? Or your lawyer informed you so many days after ?

Are you sure it takes this long after ref is issued by INS ?
