How long to get the EAD card (renewal)?

My EAD renewal was approved on 21st July. Does anybody got any idea how long it takes to get the card. Also, can I continue working
even if my first EAD is expired and I don\'t have my card in hand.

You should get your EAD not more than 15 days after it got approved.
Your new EAD is already valid on the day it was approved.

The automated message for my ead renewal case (applied on May 5) says
"after approving your case on July 14th 2000, we ordered you a new card. It takes about 60 to 90 days to process such cases."
Does it mean 60 to 90 days from July 14th, or from May 5th (the date I applied for renewal).
It\'s already 15 days past July 14th, and I\'ve not received the card yet.
