How long to get Finger print appointment?

We will soon be able to apply for citizenship and wonder how long it usually takes to get the date for the finger print? We will apply at the end of November in LA. As the winter holiday is only a couple of weeks after that we are planning a trip abroad and wonder if we will be able to do the finger print thing before christmas or not. Do they process applications/schedule appointments during the holiday?

Expect anywhere from 30-90 days after submission of application to receive FL.

It took me around 30 days from the date I mailed for my FP appointment recently(applied in July). And I'm seeing that's being the normal case at least in CA. You may want to apply accordingly so that you don't miss your FP appointment.
