How long the passport should be valid to get it stamped!!

My Passport is valid for 6 more months!! Can anybody please shed some light.

Thanks sairamana! If I get my Passport renewed, will they attach the older passport to that.

Why don\'t you get your passport renewd before get stampted?

you do not have to get stamped immidiately, right?

so, why wait a couple od days to renew passport first. Am I right?

I got my passport renewed last month

I went to NY and got my passport renewed on the same day.
If you are renewing after 10 year expiration, they will give a new
passport with a new passport number and attach the old one..so that you can still use if you have any valid visa on that.
