how long should I work?

Guys please bear with me I know this is old question but I am getting different answers.

I am working for sponsoring employer, plus found another job, I am working for both. can I leave sponsoring employer after six months of getting my gc?

has anyone done that in the past and had no issues whatsoever? some ppl say you need to work for 1 - 2 yrs or atleast 6 months. Since there is no definitive guide to this, I want to know the actual trend that people are following....

Please give me your inputs.
