how long must i stay in the us when i have been approved for a green card

hi there my parents are from the uk but have lived in the us for 16 yrs now they became us citizens last year,iam 39 if i filled forms in etc and got approved do i have to stay in the us for a certain time or can i come back and too.
do i need to be there to get my green card if so how long will it take to get to me

File an I-131 (also known as Advance Parole) along with I-130 and I-485... once the I-131 is approved, you may move out in back into the country (US). Also, if you wish to pursue employment while you are awating approval on your I-485, you may want to file an I-765 too (along with I-130, I-485 and I-131).
