one question...

When u file for EAD in advance and get it approved, does the EAD card will have an effective date of that day or the date on which the old EAD going to expire?

If you know the right answer ....please post it.

I do not know what my lawyer did but My second EAD has an effective start date from the expiry of my first EAD. Hope this helps.

That is default behaviour. By default INS will issue new EAD which is effective after previous EAD expires (even you sent 3 or 4 months earlier).

I got the card today.

Mailed on Aug 11, 03. RD Aug 20, 03. EAD approved on Sep. 10, 03. Received the card on Sep 15, 03.
