Hi,
I applied for a green card about 10 years ago under the national interest waiver criiteria. At that time I was finishing my Ph.D. and did not have a job or a job offer in the US. In the meantime I got a job offer in Europe and moved there. After I moved to Europe my national interest waiver application in the US was approved. My lawyer advised me that I should not apply for the next step in the green card application until I am ready to move to the US because once I get the green card and don't move to the US the green card will lapse but that the national interest waiver is valid indefinitely. Is this still true?
I would also like to know if I want to move the US can I still apply for the green card based on this waiver or I will have to go through the whole procedure again?
Thanks
