How long for Oath Ceremony?

Hi All - I received an email from USCIS 3 weeks ago that stated I had been scheduled for my oath ceremony (should be in Newark, NJ)

On May 20, 2013, we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice providing the date, time, and location. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

But I haven't received anything in the mail. I called the USCIS helpline and was told that the oath ceremony letter can take several weeks to reach me - this sounds confusing and wasn't sure if this is true or if others have had a similar experience? Am I just worrying unnecessarily?
 
I would recommend that you call USCIS again ASAP and ask to speak to a supervisor. The people who answer the calls (if you don't ask for someone higher up) usually don't know anything more than what we see online. The officer who interviewed me said they're not allowed to mail the oath invitation letters more than 30days prior to the ceremony so it could be that you have actually already missed the ceremony for which you were scheduled (I received my invitation less than 3weeks prior to the ceremony). If you live close to where you did the interview and if it's a small USCIS center, you could just stop by and ask them about it but if it's a bigger center, they probably won't let you in.
 
Thanks for the heads up. I just got off the phone, the Level 1 agent seemed pretty clueless like you mentioned. He read my status update word for word from the website and tried to convince me that it would take upto 45 days for the letter to reach me based on what he read

Naturalization Applicants: you will receive your certificate at your oath ceremony. You can expect to be scheduled for an oath ceremony within 45 days of receiving your recommended approval.​

When I corrected him and told him the 45 days was only applicable to the scheduling of the ceremony he got all flustered.

He then said that I should expect to receive the letter within 30 days from my date (May 20th), but by that time I had lost all hope in him and asked to speak to a supervisor.

He transferred me to a Level 2 supervisor but the wait time is 2 hours - system gave me an option to get a call back once an IO becomes available, so I left my phone number and hoping I get a call back.
 
Uscis mails letter within a day of the email notification. Postoffice takes about 5 days thats all. If more than 2 weeks passed chances are it was lost in mail.
 
So I got a call back from USCIS and spoke with an IO. After providing him with some basic demographic information and my case number he put me on hold (2mins) to check on my details.

He informed me that the letter had been mailed out this past Friday (6/7) and I had been scheduled for next week (6/19) - also advised if I didn't receive the letter by 6/17 to call back and provide a fax number so they can fax me the letter.
