How long for H1B Extension approvals?

How long is it taking these days to get H1B Extension approvals. Please post your experiences. Thanks

My H1B transfer filed on May 28th, 2002. So far it is not approved. If anybody's H1b approved which is filed during that time, please post your reply.

Mine is still pending .Was applied on May 2002 at Califonia. Any updates how long is it taking?

My h1 extension was filed in 4/18/02 and till date I have not received it. After FAX enuiries, the INS officer said that my case was overlooked and will be attended to in 7-10 days. This was in dec 2002 and no news yet.

Just for a freaking h1 extension, it has taken 9 months and still counting. Indian Government offices are countless times better than these stupid, lazy US Govt offices.
