How long for 485 to be approved after INS receives FP

Experts,

Please post how long it takes for 485 to be approved after INS recieves FP.

My details:
I 485
RD 10/06/2001
FP recieved by INS 02/03/2003

8/26/03...between 2 and 4 pm.

Not sure people are asking questions about when they can expect approval, since no one really has any idea what is going on at TSC right now.
That is why I urge everyone to send an email to govt. officials to find out what's going on. VSC is pretty much back up to speed.

KennyGH - The word "around" signifies that "08/26/2003" is an estimate in days, NOT in hours! I believe Raiden will be knowledgeable enough to add an error term to the estimate. Be it +/- 2 months, 3 months ... anyone's guess is as good as mine. The date is strictly based on the historical data entered in the tracker (which is not working now).

The error in estimate depends on:
1. Will TSC start I485 processing again? If so, when?
2. Can we trust the data entered in the tracker? If so, how good are the estimates?
3. We have observed randomness in FP. How about AD?

I do agree and support your suggestion to contact govt. officials. One can only hope for the best.

Bajis,
I meant the time of day as a joke. I know you were giving your best guess. Only Miss Cleo would know right now.

AD have also been random at times.

KennyGH - Oops, I'm sorry man. Hey did you know Miss Cleo got sued! Oh jeez, may be I need to hold off on the guestimates!! Have a great day. :)

My jokes never seem to come through well electronically (hopefully people find me funnier in person).

Raiden might sue you if 8/26 is wrong.

called INS to get FP

Experts thank you for your responses.

Fujis, I called INS on Dec 26 and got a good IIO who said she will schedule it. I got the same answer couple of times but this lady really did it.

I did mention that I belong to May-Dec 2001 missing FP cases due to a bug in the super human scheduler software.

Hey guys,

Once FP done does the Approval go with PD or ND ?

I know the randomness is always there, but my question is in general.

Thanks

PD is irrelevant at this point. It is only used if visas are not available. Since INS is so slow, priority dates are current. The PD puts you in line for processing when visas aren't available.
