Hi All,
I'm new to this and I've read most of the posts on this site, but am not sure how to use the information here. My ND is on 03/2003. Does this mean that it'll take a long long time for me to receive my green card? How could I be able to get more information or track the progress?

I dont' know my RD
SRC-031115xxxx
ND 03/2003
FP 05/2003

Ah, thanks!!
I used it and this is the reply I got. Does this mean anything as far as how much more waiting?

On May 27, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case.

Call91 - That's the fun part! From this point on (FP results received), it's anybody's guess. TSC processing is very random and it is hard to predict. But according to an announcement last month, they are trying to complete approvals before FP expires (15 months of FP date).

Who made the announcement, Bajis? I am nearing my 15-month expiry period :( and will be :) if this understanding becomes a reality and mine gets adjudicated. Just yesterday, I got a promotion at this forum to Senior Member and hope I don't wait to become a thespian or a veteran at this forum, before getting adjudicated

Approve 485 before FP expired?

I didn't get approved before my FP expired, but let me do second FP instead.

07/17/2003: Notice of Cancellation of Re-Fingerprinting Appointments - Any Good News?

The fingerprint is valid for 15 months, but beginning sometime back, the Service Centers started sending out re-fingerprint notices to the I-485 waiters even if they took the print only a few months back. A large number of people complied with the refingerprint notices and took another fingerprint, because people assumed that it was not errors but probably related to security clearance needs.
Now, all of sudden, people start receiving one or two sentence notice from the BCIS that the fingerprint was taken in their cases less than 13 months and BCIS was cancelling the refingerprint notices. Until the motive of such change of practice is made available, one can only guess its implication. One implication can be that the BCIS may adjudicate such 485 cases before the fingerprint expires in 15 months. Readers, this is just a wild guess of this reporter with no reliable sources of information. Let's cross our fingers, and wait and see!

There was a discussion on this board also. One does not need to do 2nd or 3rd FP if he/she has already completed it recently. BCIS is "trying" to process I-485s before FP expiration ... We can only wait and see if that's the case.

poongunranar - Did you try calling and telling them about your imminent FP expiry? Try telling them you're trying to save them money by avoiding 2nd FP!!

poongunranar - BTW, congratulations on your promotion! Keep up the good work ;)

[Wish I hear that from my manager sometime soon!!]

Thanks!!

Ah.. Thanks to all for explaining. I guess it'll just be the waiting game then. My H1 is due to expire next year, does that mean I'll have to use my EAD card?

If you look at meaning of "Adjustment Of Status", that's what BCIS is achieving by taking our patience and decency. After you get GC every sentence would start with F*** and you'll have a nice cozy feeling about Federal organizations...;) ;)

bajis - yesterday i gave you a logic regarding MOLES..remember? Same works out here too. I know you are from india and there they believe that if you have moles you are lucky. So for faster adjudication and manager's good words see if you have moles buddy. You got me right. I am actually from Liberia and am a nephew of President Moses Blah.
