If you live close to one of the Asylum Offices, it usually takes less than 90 days, often quicker.
Well first of all, between 2-5% of Asylee I-485s are actually sent in for interviews at the local office. Either its because they want to clear something up in your cas or you were randomly selected for quality control purposes. So unless you get a letter informing you that your case was transfered to a local office, you will not get interviewed.

I believe that he was asking about asylum cases which all (basically) require an interview.
