I wanted to find out if there is anyone in this forum who can help me answer this question. I am about to move to a new city and wanted to find out how long does it take to get the card in the mail?

I was approved on Mar 11, 2005 and got the stamping done on Mar 28, 2005 in Chicago. When can I expect to get my card in the mail? Please share your experiences. Thanks,

This is what I have heard

For Vermont applicants only is what I have heard :

Any time between 2 weeks to 6 months.

It is totally depends on which local office you go to get the stamping done.

I got my stamping done at a local office who doesn't sends the I-89's to service centers immeadiately after you have done your stamping. It took 3 months for me to get the cards. Some people got it in 2-3 weeks.

You can call and verify with service center whether they have received your I-89's from local office to process your cards. Once service center receives them its only matter of days to order and send the card to you.

Hi,
I have done stamping in January, but haven’t received the card yet. And there was no change in LUD’s also. So wonder how long it will take.
It is different in each case, at the same local office, others got it in 2 weeks.
I called the customer service as you said, but they said they cannot tell if they have received the I-89 from local office.

Do any of you know, if there is a way to contact local office on such issues.

I was in a similar situation some time back. After you move (and if you have not received your card), you need to call VSC and talk to the call center representative. Explain your situation and she will transfer you to VSC for address change on your stamping. You will then get the card at the new address.

Another thing, the card comes in a non-descript package and is forwarded to the new address. My boss got his card forwarded to the new address through the post office. But I suggest you do the address change like I did.

Recently my wife received her card. She did her stamping on Mar 10th and recvd the card in mail on 29th Mar.
