How long does it take to get a Advance Parole ??

I want to take AP.
My ND is Oct 19
My RD is Sep 22

I got EAD. I called attorny and he says as I am in NJ I have to go to the INS office in Newark and get it.
Is this correct? I don\'t need to go and get it from VSC?
any input highly apprecited?
If i have to take it from local Ins Office, what documents are requried?

If you not in a hurry, go through VSC. It takes 3 to 4 weeks to get AP approval from VSC.

Hi, I got it with in a week from SC...
My ID 01/11/2001
   Approved on 01/16/2001
   Recieved on 01/20/2001
They say it takes 30 to 60 days... But PA they are approving pretty fast..
