How long does it take to apply for citizenship after an asylee is granted green card

Hello Everyone,

Here is my scenario
Asylum granted on: March 19 2001
Green Card granted: November 16 2006
Lawfully live in USA: 5yrs
Am I qualified to apply for Citizenship? Or I have to wait 5 yrs from the date I was granted my green card which will be 2011?

2011. I lived in the US for six years before getting my GC.
 
for citizenship through asylee

my brother got his asylee approved in 2004. Got green card 05/2006. eligeble to citizenship in 2009.
i applied asylee in 2002 and got my green card 10/2006. eligeble for citizenship in 2010.
It seems weierd but it is INS
