RFE was received at hour home on 11th May.
Last date to send reply was 16th June 2009.
We sent reply to RFE on 11th May 2009 by overnight USPS.
Our reply reached CSC on 12th May.
TODAY is 21st May.
We do not see any update/LUD stating they received our reply.
How long does it generally take for USCIS/CSC to acknowledge reply received for RFE at their end.

I once received RFE and send them the documents the asked for, but I never got any correspondance from them or update that was letting me know they received it. I don't think they do that.

Mine was just a few days.
When they received it my case went online and it says that they have received the RFE and my case has resumed.
See my signature.

USCIS don't always update information online. So if you don't see any update online then it doesn't mean case is not processing. You may always call them to find out if they have resumed the processing or not upon receipt of required document/information.

Thanks JonnyCash!!!

Thanks for the info and ...I can also tell my grand children that , JohnnyCash himself responded to one of my questions on IP. W....O......W

USCIS put me in place when I called them just now: Window for RFE acknowledgement is 60 days. Afterall, mom was right, it can take upto 2 months ( if not 9.9)
I will sing Bhajans ( aka prayers) in the meantime to take my mind off.
Isn't it better to pay an attorney to do this only for this reason. You are not actively following up on it and you don't have to be bothered with delays seemingly forever...

USCIS doesn't acknowledge the receipt of RFE response. I sent the response with tracking and checked on the USPS website as to when it was delivered. I just checked the USCIS website saw that the status has been updated to "Card production ordered". Its a big relief to see that. Funnily that's the only case where I see updates on the USCIS site. In my mom's case, where she has already received the card, the status still says case pending.

Anyway, I am just happy that the card has been ordered. It took about 3 weeks since I mailed the response. So that should help you estimate your timeline.

Vinayak: Thnks for getting back to us with this valuable information.
It's indeed a big relief for parents who worked so hard in their life that even the lines on their hands got eroded. They changed our diapers, fed milk and food to us, took us homework, dropped us to schools, paid for our education, help in every major step of our life in their own ways possible. Now we can repay some debt...
