How long does it take for the case number to appear in the online system? My lawyer is telling me he sent in the application in late July, yet I don't see the case number in the system on the DOS website. I called the DOS in Washington to make sure, and they told me I am not in the system. I checked with my lawyer and he said that the check sent with the application cleared and I should just wait another couple of weeks.
From your experience, does it really take that long, over 2 months, for them to get the application put in their computer system, or did my lawyer mess something up?
