Hello everyone,
Can anyone confirm the time it takes for I-129F to get approved when the person is already in US on a visit visa?

And what happens to the current 5 year multiple visa if the engagement breaks off within 3 months or if the individuals dont marry after 3 months of engagement?

Makes no difference where the beneficiary is....as stated by USCIS, I-129F's are taking around 6 months to process.

As for the multiple visa- Im guessing you are referring to a B2 (you need to be specific when youre posting questions- I lost my ability to read minds when I got married ;). Im assuming there will be no impact on the visa itself- though as the I-129F will have to be cancelled (no engagement= no longer a need for a fiance visa), then it may be on the beneficiary's records, so maybe this could pose a problem during their next entry on the B2 as now they have demonstrated previous immigrant intent which is not what a B2 is intended for. I could be totally wrong though as Im not well versed on B2 visas.

Firstly, it is very much possible that the consulate may cancle the 5 year multiple entry visa when the K-1 visa is issued. It does not happen all the time but it is likely to happen.
If the individuals do not marry in the 90 days, the K-1 status holder starts accruing an overstay, which has its own long term issues.
