How long does it take for EAD renewal?

Folks,
Just wondering how long it takes to get EAD after applying? My company changed 4 lawyers in a span of two months. Due to my fault too, I forgot to remind our HR that my EAD application was due. Hence, it has now come down to only 60 days before I finally had them apply. What are my options now? I am vary of asking attorney, since she is more likely to say I have to quite my job for 30 days or so, and may be move to mexico or canada in that period of time.

So, it begs to ask two questions -
1> How long does it realistically take to get an EAD extension? Any chances of getting interim EAD for the meanwhile?
2> Do Canada and/or Mexico liberally give visas to Indian citizen so as to avoid a trip to India?

what service center you sent the EAD appliaction
 
i dont know why you would have to leave the US. EAD is authorization to work in US. If you are here based on a pending 485 (AOS) application, you will still be in status if you stay in the US.

If your EAD renewal approval does not come in time, you are not authorized to work. SO you may have to sit out for a while unitl the approval comes through.

Man,

You are currently legal in the country so do not worry about your status. Second, EAD does not take that much time now. Just fill it in online and do it your self. Why you have to haver your company doing it for you. It usuallay takes now around three weeks to do it, so DO IT NOW.
