How long does it take for DOL to give certified copy of labor certification?

VSC sent request on Novemeber last year to DOL asking for the certified copy of labor certification because the original was not availabe in my I-140 file.
More than half year has passed. I called DOL finally found one officer who told me the request went to their contractor who keeps all the document of old labor certifications since mine was certified on 2001. She has no idea how long it would take. I was tongue tied at the moment that I heard these words. INS has even some sort of processing time. But DOL has indefinite processing time. :mad:

Does any one had similar experience on it? How much longer I have to wait?

DOL is so screwed up .. talk to your congressman or senator (the area from where your labor is). I think they should be able to help.

Hi Lucyliu,

I got the same I-140 RFE from VSC center to submit certified labor copy and my lawyer is going to tell them to contact DOL to get that.
Just wanted to know that how did you finally got yoru copy form DOL? How long does it take? Any advice on how to proceed?
