How long does EAD Renew process take ?

My EAD expires on 11/27 and I applied

on Aug 15th. The INS receipt for EAD renewal says that it takes 80 days to process and if i do not hear anything before that I should call them.

I have the same dates as you gcwaiting_2001, I am think of waiting till Oct to file for my EAD but if VSC does not process Sept cases at a faster pace within the next week or two I might apply earlier.
 
Talked to lawyer about this..

I talked to lawyer about this and she says "you cannot file for the renewal more than 90 days in advance, but that means we should be filing now.", She is getting paper work ready to send me over.

By the way, is there any harm if you apply earlier ??
