how long data is saved with consulate in non immigration visa

I want to know that upto how many days embassy keep record of your previously made non immigrant visa application form DS 156, DS157, DS158 and its data and denial reason given that time??

Unless they have changed the procedures since 9/11, I read in the 485 standard operating procedures that DOS destroys those records after one year.
