How long CSC takes to send approval notice H1B

Hi guys
This is for CSC
My H1B on premium was approved on Sep 27. Tilldate I did not
receive the approval letter. Anybody did premium recently from
CSC and got approval in premium? Please share the time. I need
to make emergency travel plans. please share..

When did you apply for H1 Premium processing. If it was approved on September 27th 2004. You should recieve it in 4 - 6 days. I would suggest waiting till end of day today. Call your attorney to find out whether they have rec. it.

We filed H1B of Sept 2 on premium.
Got RFE on 10th. Answered the RFE on 16th
and approved on 27th Sept. Its been 7 days
since approval no letter yet.

I called up lawyer today and they didnot receive it yet.
What to do?

In normal Circumstances, the Service center says you have to wait 14 days before you call them back. Unless they are backlogged on printing you should receive it in a day or two. In the past I remember one instance when their printing was backed up and sometime back even their Mail room was backlogged. I would not worry as long as you know that it has been approved. If you do not rec. it by mail this week then you might have to contact INS directly. IS this H1 extension or transfer?

Could you please let us all know what the RFE was about?

Atty received it today. Well it was basically an amendment
to describe some more job resp.
Its a long story if I need to describe the RFE.


My last H1B expired on Jul 15 2004. But
on March 15 2004 I got extension up Oct 2005.
And the visa on my passport was good until
July 15 2004. On March 20 2004 I went back
to India to get married. On Apr 7 I was
back. But I did not stamp the new visa.
So my visa in passport was Jul15 2004.
Now at the airport the I-94 issued was upto
Jul 15 2004. I thought since I have the extension
I'm good until Oct 2005. But on Jul 28 my attorny
told me that I'm in trouble. Because the latest
issued I-94 is the valid one.

Attorney gave me 2 options. Go to INS local
office and correct I-94 or apply for an H1B
amendment of extension. But my passport and
i-94, I sent to DOS for VISA stamping. So
I applied for H1B extension, because to get
the passport it might take another 2 months.

The RFE asked why do we want to extend a VISA
which is already extended. Attorney replied that
there are some changes in job descriptions. They
they approved it.

I'm glad I did not wait for the passport because
DOS lost my passport and I-94.

It was a nigtmare pretty much, but its over now.

Thanks for the update. We have recently filed H1 premium processing through California and we were just wondering about some RFE's being generated from CSC.

how long it take to recv approval letter

My h1b got approved (premium processing) thru one of the cmpy. But we have not yet received the approval letter from INS.

Could you please tell me how long it takes for INS to dispatch the same after approval.
or
How we can confirm whether it has been dispatched or not.
