Yes, but your eligibility will be delayed because of the 2 years you'll spend outside the US.

Stay in? Or stay out? For keeping your green card, the limits are on how long you can stay out. One year max without a reentry permit, 2 years (plus a few months due to processing time) with a reentry permit.

i have just arrived in usa. hey i have some question about i 131 form
i didn't get my GC yet.
1. what is a number (alien number) i can't see it my passport
2.Calass of Admission
3.should i put social security number ?
bcz i didn't receive my social number too
please advice me friends soon.........

1. You should see a number starting with "A", like A123456789 where they stamped your passport upon arrival in the US, or somewhere in your green card paperwork.

2. LPR or ARC or "green card" or "permanent resident" or I-551. Pick any one

3. N/A for SSN

Remember you must be in the US when USCIS receives the I-131, and you have to be back in the US about 3-5 weeks later for fingerprints. If you leave the US before getting the fingerprint notice, make sure somebody is checking your mail to look for the notice.
