how long between RFE and approval?

I never got REF

I applied on August of 200o for my GC, I got my assylum approval on 1999 and never got an RFE. I only got RFI on March and sent it back alreay on March....are you sure that what you got was an RFE because your date is after mine

I think u got confused. RFI is not an option. Everybody recieve it. It includes request for Medical and biography. RFE (Request for Evidence) is only sent by INS in case if they need some more info from you (for ex. explanation of all the trips made). Some people never recieve RFE and get their GC.

Bottom line: Everybody recieve RFI (Request for initial evidence).

Well maybe they send request for new medical and biography as a RFE sometimes. There are no rules when you deal with INS.

I submitted medical info right away with my application in Feb of 2000. The only thing I got from them since was fingerprints in June of 2004 and RFE (travel expl, etc) in Feb of 2005. I didn't have to resubmit the medical documentation.

CIS seems to have started issuing RFI's for applicants after ND March 2000.

How long between RFI (the initial request for medical exam & G325a) and green card approval, provided there is no RFE.
