Ok so i have the same old question that has been asked here so many times but my case is a little different and I am wondering if the answer is any different.
Here is my situation. I am a permanent green card holder. Got my GC status in Dec, 2005 through marriage. However, i was only married to my spouse for a little over a year. I had to file with immigration and prove that my marriage was legitimate etc. Did that and the conditions on my green card were removed. I now have a permanent green card valid for 10 years. My question; When can i apply for Citizenship:
1) After three years after i was given GC status.
2) After five years i was given GC status.
3) After three years my Green Card became permanent.
4) Or after five years my green card became permanent.
Can someone help me out or should i contact a lawyer.
Thanks
