Last time I checked, medicals are valid for the full duration of the adjustment process. Medicals, however, are supposed to be done within one year before filing for AOS.
Validity of medical is 1 yr. But INS rarely issues RFE just because the medicals have expired.
Chat User : Hi Ms. Sheela, can you tell me, after medical, within how many days the I-485 should be filed with INS? Thanks!
Attorney Murthy : The medicals are usually valid for one year, I believe. So, no problem 'til then. Even if the medicals expire after filing, the person does not have to obtain new medicals unless the INS has reason to suspect health related problems.
