How long after FP, to get 485 approval

Hello everyone,

Do you have any guess or real info, how long it is taking after giving FP to get the 485 approval at VSC these days. I see lot of FP notices for the last few days. So, looks like VSC is spinning it\'s wheels as fast as it can, can we hope the same with 485 approvals.

If ND is before Mar 00 in general many applicants receive 485 approval in about 3 months time.

I did my FP on January 2, 2001 at Newark, NJ. When can I expect to get approval of I-485.
By the way, I am from Pakistan.

It depends on your notice date. VSC is processing applications received during ocotber 1999. If your ND was in October 1999, you will see an approval pretty soon.

thanks..any insights on what makes u say 3 mnths..by the way, does the fact that new immi. laws havent been implemented...mean that the quota for desis stays in effect
