Exact dates aren't a deal breaker. Month/year format is fine.
What if I can't even remember my start month but I do my end month?

Surely you must know the start month within 1 or 2 months range of accuracy?

Then use season/year. ex: Mcdonald's, summer 2006, August 25 2006.
