How far forward can I reschedule?

Hi all:

I've received my FP notice from California SC for Sep26th 02. i will be getting married in November and can get my fiancee here only by early Dec. Can I reschedule my FP date as far forward as early Dec or even sometime in Nov......I just want to make sure that my wife enters the country before I do my FP and also add her to my 485 around the same time. Feedback will be appreciated. thx.

you cannot choose the timing

I got my FP done 8/27/02. As far as I can say you cannot choose
when you want to get the FP done. The FP notice that I got gave me one date (8/27) and I had an option of re-scheduling it to
next available wednesday (12 noon) or saturday (12 noon).

Now the rescheduling request can be sent to local INS App support center but nobody knows when they will call you again for FP. If local INS ASC is busy it may take months before they
call you again.

I am in the same boat (planning to marry by oct/nov) though I have got my FP done
