How does InfoPass work?

How does Infopass work? Can't I schedule an appointment for the some date in the month of July or August?

The option there to get an Interim EAD is

"It has been more than 90 days since you filed an I-765 and you did not receive an Employment Authorization Card."

Why would I wait for 90 days to complete before I make an appointment. I would like to be sure I get an appointment atleast 1 month in advance since I am hearing that people do not get appointment these days. Also since I have been told you cannot work if you do not have a valid EAD in hand. What is this supposed to mean?

Please help

Ead

When you file for your EAD, unless 90 days have passed, you cannot get an interim EAD. i.e., USCIS needs at least 90 days to process the application. Many people, however, receive their EADs much before the 90 day period. If you go to a local office before the 90 period has expired, you will in all likelihood be turned away. When your EAD is approved it will be sent directly to you.

If you have used an EAD to work in the past and have let it expire, you CANNOT continue to work until your new EAD has been approved. The mere filing for a renewal does not grant you the right to work or to continue to work.

Thanks for your reply, but I am already aware of all that. Sorry if I didb't put my questions the right way. Anyway I would like to know how does "Infopass appointment work"

I wanted to know how many days in advance I have to get an appointment. What I mean is that my 90 days will be over since I applied my renewal EAD on July 14th. I would like to get an appointment for July 14th. But on the Infopass page, they do not let me choose the dates. So I want to know how it works?

Thanks

For infopass appointments they will give you a listing of whats available. Times and dates. You pick your choice from what they have. You can't specifically request a certain date. My center showed 5 days worth and what times were avaialable.

The 90 days starts from receipt date.

My center which is Newark shows only 2 appointments for 16th June. What does this mean?

What you see is what you have for choices for right now and thats it.
My center had 5 different days listed and had about 20 appointment times listed per day. I made my appointment. Then I went back in and made my husbands appointment and already 2 of the days that were there when I did it were gone. The appointments had been taken. Yes they really do go this fast.
Also; without an infopass appointment the security at my center would not even let you in the door.
