Hi All,

I have filed my N-400 based on marriage to a USC. My GC date was March 29, 2007. My N-400 reached USCIS Dallas office on January 4 and recieved NOA via email and check encashed.
Reading from the experience of various folks, it appears the overall process is taking about 80 days. Assuming mine takes around same, my interview will be before 3 year anniversary.
How does Fairfax D.O handle "early" interview cases? Any thoughts?

The rule is same for all DOs.
In that situation, you will receive a "decision can't be made" letter from the interviewer.
Your oath will be done after your three year anniversary date.

Yes unfortunately they will not let you do your oath early. Also if your not from the DC area and say another part of VA they won't let you do same day oath. I had my interview yesterday and because I live in Southern VA they said my oath would be in my hometown.

I applied 60 days before and not 90 days and I got the interview date 2 weeks after my 5 years date...So if you are in the DC area, apply 70 days or so before not 90 days. If my FP were not lost by the ASC in Alexandria, I would've been approved/citizen in 60 days.

What you can do is once you get your FP request, delay it by 2 weeks or so.
