How do you guys get WAC#s?

My company's HR refuses to disclose the numbers to me.

Can I get the WAC#s of 140&485 based on my A#? Is 485's WAC# shown on FP notice?

You can get your full file of applications and suppoting documents using Freedom Of Information Act. This will contain your WAC number too.
Search for Freedom Of Information Act in USCIS site. You can also look
in AC21 forum under I-485 issues.

I guess you can also request USCIS to issue a duplicate receipt notice for
I-140 and I-485 but not sure which address they will send to.

WAC numbers are not on FP notice.

I-140

ALSO your company CAN NOT REFUSE to give you the numbers for the I-485. That application belongs to the EMPLOYEE. Even if their lawyer does the paperwork.
 
How about I140? I think it belongs to the company. They may give you WAC, but may not be the receipt. Can I site Freedom Of Information Act to obtain I140 receipt?

USCIS did not mail me receipt notices for both I140 and 485! :confused:
The company faxed me the receipt for I485, but they refused to do so for I140.
 
Yes

You will get I-140 application and I-485 application with RD, WAC number on
it. I got full package including company audited financial statements. One will
not get Receipt notice. One can fax USCIS for the receipt notice I did recently
but not yet got.

I am in a similar position.HR would not give the the 1-140 reciept copy.
I'll try to use the FOIA to get it.

Well, do not thank me. Thanks askgc instead. I am going to use G-639 form to request the info.

askgc - how did you provide proof of Identity? went in-person or a copy of your driver lic? Thx.

Please see section type of request which says
Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) (Complete all sections except item 7)

I have not submitted any, got the file too.

By the way guys FOIA takes about 2 months and you wont get the
receipt notice rather your file as it is in USCIS with WAC number on it.

If you fax your request to USCIS saying you need a duplicate receipt notice
you would get a replacement receipt notice within 30 days. I got my receipt
notice for 485 today. I dont know about 140 if they will send it to you or the
employer or the lawyer.
