How do you check FP status?

Hello,
Could you let me know how to check the status of my FP? I know one could call the FBI...but I keep reading here that the AVM and online status get updated. Does this status show up when you use the same LIN number as your 485? Is there a different website? My FP was completed in Nov/2002, and when I check my status on BCIS online using my LIN number, it still says that 'We received your...yada...yada....'.

my FP was done may 2002, and AVM/online status is still not updated. you could call the FBI, and determine if your FPs passed okay, or if they have discovered all your past sins.

hmm, existentialist... that is just the right attitude to endure the AOS ordeal.
 
Haha! Indeed the right attitude...can't blame anyone else, eh? Wonder what Neitzsche would have done in this situation.

Nebraska is not very diligent in updating their database with fingerprinting etc. (perhaps they believe it is inconsequential?) although they seem to be prompter in updating information relating to RFEs and approvals.

Perhaps blame it on his mother?? or on the female employees of the INS? (Could'nt help myself there, sorry! This whole INS experience is great fodder for the theater of the absurd)
 
That explains my outdated message...I suppose my FP would have been completed by now. My receipt date is Feb/2002, and judging from these forums, my FP in Nov/2002 still seems rather late.

Theater for the absurd? That's funny, but very true. He also says that there's no need to solve a problem, if you can overcome the circumstances of the problem. Guess that means we shouldn't come to the US in the first place? No more BCIS problems then. Ha!
