How do I renew EAD for my spouse?

My wife's EAD expired on April 2004 (she never used it), but now she would like to start working.
Can someone tell me how I can renew it? Do I need my lawyer for that? Is there any advantage of doing it in the "conventional" way as oppose to E-File, or vice versa? My lawyer told me that E-File is more complicated and takes more time, and this is why he doesn't use it any more.

File an I-765, send it in with the proper fee and a copy of your wife's I-485 receipt. You really shouldn't need a lawyer for this.
