How do I rectify this?

I've been a permanent resident of the US for almost 8 years now and after doing some online research this morning on renewing my card (in 2 years), I realized that I neglected to inform the USCIS of my address change when we moved to a neighbouring town 3 years ago.

What do I do now? I read that it's a misdemeanor crime not to inform them of the address change within 10 days and here we are at 3 years! I want to do the right thing, but I don't know how. Should I fill out the address change form now? Will I be fined? Could I be convicted? Help!
 
Just don't panic! Download AR11 form from USCIS website, fill in necessary information and send it to the address mentioned in the form.

Change address and carry the GC all the time are regulations which I think have great malleability and not enforced that much, just file the form and write your previous real address despite it is not the address in your file and that is it. My thinking is many GC holders do not think that they suppose to report address change to USCIS.
