How do I know if 485 is changed to EB2

Hi

My I-1485 & I-140 was filed on 14th June2007 based on EB3 Labor (PD March 2005). I-40 based on EB3 got approved. My company also filed an I-140 on 1st June2007 based on EB2 Substitution labor & I-140 is currently pending.

Once My I-140 based on EB2 Substitution labor gets approved, I plan to port my I-485 from EB3 to EB2. My Question is how would I know that my case has been ported to EB2? Is there a way to find out or I will have to rely on the word of my Lawyer..Thanks for the help.

------------ once your second I-140 of EB2 is approved then you need to write to USCIS to Interfile your Second I-140( by sending copy of second I-140 approval notice) with pending I-485 and make a request that I-485 should be approved on the base of second I-140 and PD od EB3 I-140 shouls be used. take the help of your lawyer to recapture early Pd or for Interfiling

thanks for the information for the process...once the case gets changed from EB3 to EB2...is it updated on your 485..is there a way to confirm that the case is now eb2

------------------the request your lawyer send will be attached with pending I-485 file and the officer is going to look at it when your PD is current and your file is before him/her for approval
