My girlfriend is a Canada citizen and she plans to move here in July(if possible). We want her to be able to work full time and go to college(if possible). We've both have been asking around to find a way to make this into a easy process and so far it's been anything but easy. Noone seems to be telling us the samethings.
By the way she is only a high school grad. As of right now no professional skills. So the T-N I believe isn't going to work.
My school immigration consular said that she could go to school and work with a J-visa. When I went to look it up the J-Visa only allowed summer work.
There is the Workers visa. Doesn't allow her to go to school. And I'm unsure if she'd be able to work with it having no legal work experience. She lives in the country so most employeers pay under the table.
The student Visa only allows her to go to college and work part-time on campus after being here for a year.
Then I had some immigration service people tell her that if she applyed for both a Student visa and a workers visa she'd be able to do both. But my immigration consular said that it isn't possible to do that.
Lastly I wanted to live with her for awhile before decideing on whether or not to be married(if that's possbile). I notice people are having problems legally doing that. Should I even worry about that right now? Or should I just keep going after the Visa's and get married later?
If anyone has any idea on how to make this easier please let me know.
Thank you in advance.
