how do I get my business registered in the USA

I live in Canada and operate a US historically based business. I only have US customers because of the nature of the business.
Can I get a business license in NY State and register there and get a bank account to prove the worth of my business so I can get the proper legal papers to move to the USA?
Also, can I get a non working SSN by doing this, because essentially I am not working there?

Hire a US attorney and CPA to assist you. Be advised that a significant investment is required to obtain an investors visa. You do not qualify as a typical guest worker.

To get a greencard you need to look into the EB-5 immigrant investor visa. This requires a one million dollar investment and the creation of 10 full time jobs for qualified U.S. workers (excludes you and your family).

To get a nonimmigrant visa investigate the E-1 and E-2 nonimmigrant classifications. These require a "significant investment" which is one of those undefined variables encountered in immigration law that relies on precedent decision interpretations. Good luck figuring that one out.
