How do I check if 485 application has been received?

Hi Gurus,

I applied I-485 (VSC) recently?
My lawyer wouldn\'t reveal any info to me directly.
So, How do I check through phone about my receipt date?

What do you mean by recent. If it has passed 8 to 10 weeks and your attorney still did not tell you any thing you must ask him. In any case your attorney cannot refuse to give you the receipt Number. In fact
you should insist on a fax copy of your receipt. This is what my attorney did. I did not even ask him anything. They simply faxed all the receipts and next day they were there on my table. Are you sure he filed it immediately after you have sent the papers to him.
