How do I add a dependant to a case pending for 3 years?

Hi everyone.
I just met a girl who could benefit a lot from a greencard. You can see from my signature, that I've been waiting for quite a while, besides I just had an LUD on the second FP, saying that the processing on my case resumed. According to some, I might be getting an approval pretty soon, maybe even a week from now. Anyway, my question is this. If I mary this girl now, can I add her to my case as a dependant now that I might be so close to conclusion. I am actually not sure how legal her status is. This would be great if I could help somebody get a greencard with ease. What I my chances? How quickly do I need to act if I have a chance?

Don't marry someone because they could benefit from an immigration benefit marriage to you could provide.

Sure, but be careful what you ask for - you may get it. Are you comfortable reimbursing the US government for any social services she obtains for the next 10 years or more, even if you are no longer married to her?

I am actually not sure how legal her status is.

If she entered without inspection, she may not be able to get a GC at all through you.
