How Do Fill Out I-864a

I am filing an affidavit of support (I-864) for my wife and unfortunately, I do not the meet the income requirements and, as a result, her uncle has agreed to be a joint sponsor and he will also file an affidavit of support (form I-864). Her uncle lives with his wife and therefore needs to fill out the I-864A. They have questions on how to fill out the I-864A. Her uncle is the sponsor, his wife is the household member, who is the "sponsored immigrant/household member" in Part 4 of the application. ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED

Part 4 is meant for the sponsored immigrant if her/his income is being used. For example, let's say that your wife was earning and you wanted to include her income to qualify for the min income requirement. In such a case, your wife would file the I-864A and she would fill out the Part 4.

In your case - where your wife's uncle is the co-sponsor and his wife is filing the I-864A, I believe part 4 doesn't need to be filled. Another thing - her uncle's wife doesn't need to file I-864A if the uncle is not including his wife's assets/income - this is my understanding.
