How credible is the information given by TSC reps?

From personal experience I can tell you that phone updates from Service Reps are unreliable at best. I have had times when the updates were correct while at other times they just fed me anything to get me of the phone. I would believe the Infopass information more than a phone update.

I will soon be posting a security check email that I had complied a way back. This includes several threads that contain information on various ways to follow up on cases. It is a compilation of porblematic cases that got resolved. This should help you in some way.

I just called and got through a rep. who didn't seem very happy. She told me that my security checks are still pending. I have confirmed it twice (through Infopass and phone call) and I was told that everything has been cleared. During Infopass I was specifically told that my security checks were cleared twice, once in Dec 04 and again in April 07. My case was transferred to TSC in March 07.

I mentioned that I was previously told that my security checks have been cleared. She said that they were cleared in the Eastern Region but they needed be cleared again. I told her that I was told my security checks were cleared in April 2007. She said she doesn't see anything and hung up the phone.

I don't know who to believe now :( :(

I would anyday trust the Infopass guys more.Its interesting that 2nd security check was carried out for your case soon after the transfer(which is the same as mine) , but before you did the FP-2.
