Don't forget people who opt for consular processing. There are around 144,000 visas available this year. With USCIS using about 136,000, that would leave the other 8,000 for people, like me, who are not doing the I-485 AOS route.

I don't think anyone can predict PD movement with certainty. There are lots of theories out there but all of them have tons of holes in them. Our best bet is to not think about this situation to much at the moment.The bulletins between Oct-Dec 06 will shed more light into what fiscal year 07 holds for us. If India EB3 continues to languish in April 01 till December then we can rest assured that '07 will not bring much relief to us.
