Houston -> walk-in before infopass scheduled date

Can we walk in early to get the PP stamped before the infopass appt. We have not visited home country for 3 plus years now and desparately wanted to visit home. Can someone tell if this is possible. We are willing to wait for several hours if we have to if this is possible.
 
i'm not sure how Houston USCIS is, but in dallas it is possible.

If you have an appointment, then you have to wait for your time slot before you can stand in line. (ie, if u have an 8AM appointment, you will not be allowed to wait in the 7:30 line)

There was also a separate line for non infopass appointment holders but the security officer was telling them that it was likely that they will have to wait almost the entire day before someone saw them.
