freedomtome and nhusain,

Thanks a lot! Again, I guess it is a "black box" thing. No one knows exactly what is going on over there.

By the way, is there anything we can do now to prepare for the interview because I notice sometimes there are only a few days left after receiving the notice.

What kinds of cases are you guys in? I am a EB-2-NIW.

If your lawyer contacted AILA, do you think that they can actually do something about speeding up the processing time.
I think that I will get their number from their web-site and call them myself. I'll post the outcome after the call.

I contacted AILA and the they told me that only a member attorney can request any petition.
They also said that a petition can only be requested if it is past processing time.
They didn't tell me if the petition would speed up the process.
Guess I had to try...

NEC04,

I will talk to my lawyer about AILA and keep you posted... Now the USCIS has just issued my wife's FP renewal notice. My lawyer did mention that it typically takes 3-6 months for an interview to be scheduled at Houston local office. So probably by Sep/Oct I should expect my notice for an interview.

Thanks guys!

Are you all Employmeny based

Are you all employment based I-485? or family based. My lawyer just told me that EB doesn't get transfered to local office unless they have questions regarding your FP or medicaL record.
If you are family based I-485, then it is another story.

Please reply.

I'm EB but TSC transfered my case to the local office in the name of "speed up"

I am Empolyment Based too - NIW case. I don't understand why I got transferred and what the interview is for.

I am EB and the transfer notice from TSC to the Houston office mentioned that it was to speed up the processing of my application.

Let's keep this thread to relay Houston transfered cases and keep each other updated.

I am EB1

I am a EB1 case. And the transfer notice says that priliminary processing has already been complete on my case. (My ND is Nov. 01). It didn't explain futher why they wanted to transfer my case.
From what I have read, the majority of you have a ND of Sept. 02 or something similar.
I don't know, I can't figure out why TSC did what they did and I have not been able to gather enouh energy to go to the Houston office before 6am to do an inquiry hoping I might get answered.

My ND is Nov. 01 too. I went to Houston Office in April. What they told me was to wait another year to be called for interview. So we should contact to someone (like Marvin from ABC13) to investigate what is happening in Houston Office.

If you feel that Marvin can do anything, then I am in.
I'll try to see how I can get in touch with him!

keep only one thread

All:

We have been using two threads (this one and the houston district) for Houston transfer cases. We have the same groups and it is confusing and inefficient sometime to keep up woth both. I propose we keep only one thread for all Houston transfer case.
Just to save time , out of no reason, I propose we use the other one " houston district".
Please no longer post anything under the this thread. If you agree, then say something on the other one.!

Thanks
