Nothing is going to happen

Applications will be delayed further, aspiring immigratants will keep fuming, politicians will try to get as much mileage out this fiasco as possible. In short nothing will change.
Life will still go on. As long as Politicians pay only lip service to the importance of immigrants to this country (while on the inside hoping that no non-white immigrants come here), nothing will change practically.
