hoping FP notice , need advice

i filed 485 in jan2003 , i didn't receive any FP notice till now. is there anyone sailing on the same boat. input needed to be appreciated

Will vsc center take long time like csc service center?

Mine is also same case. my RD oct 29 , 2002. my wife got FP notice I am still waiting for fp notice.two days back i called to iiop they said it will come at any time. no need to worry

Dear MSV.

Sometimes BCIS sends notices to your Lawyer's address, if you think your FP is overdue, please verify with your lawyer and see if they have any notices mailed.

In my case the FP notice was sent to my lawyer.

My RD is 01/29/03 at VSC.
Still not received FP notice.
Lawyer says it will come directly to me with a copy to him.
Wondering if I should call BCIS since the tracker for Vermont indicates that almost everyone else from Jan/Feb has gotten FP notices.

Don't worry about finger print notice, there is definite time period it could come to you + copy to your lawyer within a month or sometime after a year, so relax this will not expedite or delay your GC process.

Have patience and be cool

Btw , i had filed for my EAD recently using e-file that's really cool ....

Don't know why FP takes so long for someone and yet others get in a month or two. Me and my wife have OCT 05 RD and we have not yet seen anything for FP - while a lot of people after our date got it and got it done as well.

I called BCIS last week. They said not worry and 485 cases are taking over 18 months.

We both got our EAD. Did not apply for PR. I am still on H1. However my wife is already working on EAD.

We also had our attorney sent a letter to BCIS back in April regarding the FP but still to no avail.

God help these people with their work. I can't imagine the pile of papers on their desk.... or is it on their desk and not being kicked around?!

Thanks for the update, R. Its good to know I'm not the only one in this boat.... I hope it comes through soon for both of us.

Granted that FP isn't really giving us anything material in terms of status... but in this loooong wait, its these milestones that give us hope and something to look forward to.

Even if we at least knew the reason why our applications are treated different from others, it would be some relief. This not knowing is what is so hard...

It is indeed these stepping milestones that helps us keep going.

I generally have a positive outlook however think of the worst case scenarios. And these long horrendous waits just makes it worse. It is the fear of the unknown...

Still no FP notice. I tried every thing I can. Every time I was told not to worry about the FP notice, It may come any time, some times when the case is assigned to an officer.

God only knows.

I'm sorry to hear that buddy. As per the times posted, they are processing Dec '01 at the VSC for I-485. I would call the National service center if I were you.

Let us know what you learn. Thanks for the info.
 
FP notice not received yet

Filed I-485 in October 2002 (RD 10/7/02)
EAD approved in March 2003
AP approved in February 2003
No sign of FP notice yet !!! Apparently, there are folks who have been waiting for close to 12 months without receiving FP and there are yet some folks who have done their FP within 4 weeks from filing I-485.

Call it LUCK, call it whatever you want . . . but the bottomline is: "WAIT" :confused:
 
No kidding... makes you wonder what's different about our applications though... or is it just the freak who happens to be assigned to our case(s)...... :rolleyes:
