did FP Today @Fairfax ( Los Angeles ), Scheduled San Jose ( Bay Area )

Hi Guys,

I was scheduled at San Jose, But did it at FairFax. It was early FP, No questions asked. Everyone was so Co-Operative. took 10 minutes only.

This site Helps a Lot. I must have never known about early FP and that
you can do FP at different center as well.

To help people more I gave my info in all details. You recorded when I received FP notice (10/04) but overlooked when I did that which is 10/05! Please update my line!

I went to INS(Santa Ana) to check if my prints were good or not as I will be going to india for 1 month. they told it was cleared by FBI so nothing to worry.

They also confirmed that my EAD was approved and I still didn\'t get my wifes EAD as she had RFE.

I asked if my case is assigned he said not yet and working on 98 cases same old story.

So I got very little information as on the phone.

Any little more peace.

I did my FP on Nov 13th ahead of schedule!

Dear Mighty,

I have done my FP on Nov 13th without any problem!

Pls update my line! Now, I need to just wait for the approval!

the process you went through to speak to an IIO in person at Santa Ana.
Since I live in the area, I would like to go in person and not have to agonize at
not connecting to an IIO by phone. This would help me immensely. Thanks.

I am regular visitor to this site and found it to be the single most informative message boards for immigration. My wife and I got the approval notice for our I-485. Here are the details.

Country : India (EB2)
PD : 06/00
RD : 03/19/01
ND : 04/09/01
WAC : 01-153-xxxxx
AP & EAD : 06/01
FP : 08/09/01 (scheduled for 10/03/01)
Location : bay area.
AD : 11/08/01

The whole process took less than 18 months.

AVM Message changed for I-485

Hi,

I dialed into AVM and found that the AVM message for my I-485 case has changed, and now says something like, "On November 16, 2001 finger print were collected and are pending review...."

It seems like they have received my finger prints from FBI.
I did my FP on 11/02/2001. So, the AVM does change after INS receives the Finger Print results from FBI.

I guess its a good sign.

AVM changed on Nov. 16 for FP

I just checked the AVM and it says that FP was collected for review and is pending... Did our FP on 11/03 on schedule

EAD and AP approved within three months of ND

Changed residence two weeks after filing 485 (yes, I was that stupid)

FIled change of address form twice, talked to IIO twice and had them read out my new address

EAD still sent to old address and got forwarded to my new place.

Never received AP. Guess it got returned at PO and got shredded at INS.

New resident at old apertment received courtsey approveal notice on Friday, 16th, and called me. I then called AVM, and it said my petition was approved on the 13th Nov. I had last checked the AVM on 14 Nov., and at that time the message was still the same" it is currently taking between 900 and ...blah blah blah"

Hopefully, my lawyer should receive the oroginal on Monday.

Wonder what happen after one year or so when I get the plastic card, will it still go to the old adress, and it being a non-forwardable mail item, get returned to the INS for 6month cold storage?

Mighty COunt, I\'m not on your list, but it was a great confidence builder to me and cheered me as I saw others on the list progress thru the various stages. Thank you for the fine effort.

Did FP in san jose on the scheduled date, 9/14/01.

Once agian, I never received the notice, took lawyer\'s courtsey copy.

it is prety simple i went to ins office at 8:30 am and told i have some questions on my case as i received 2nd fp notice. they have me token number i waited for 2 hrs and then spoke to iio but got same information i got on phone.

but made sure that my prints were cleared by fbi and i don\'t have any problems.

this is in 34 civic plaza the same building in which IRS has office.
it will be good idea to go around 7 am.
this will be very good for people to change address etc.
